Who are we?

Ko Wai Mātou

Ngā Iwi Tōpū o Waipā is a hapū forum working with the Waipā District Council on resource consenting and other matters that affect our environment, cultural values, and places of significance.

We bring hapū voices together to support better decision-making across the Waipā District. Our role is to help ensure development and earthworks are approached with respect towards the Māori world view and perspectives, and a clear understanding of cultural values.

We work together to protect the mauri of our rivers, wetlands, landscapes, and significant sites for current and future generations.
